Texas High School Basketball - Goose Creek Memorial can't hold off Crosby

The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots basketball team (Baytown, TX), was nudged 64-60 in Friday's league battle with the host Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX)

The Cougars now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee for a 5A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Crosby will battle a Ganders team coming off a 51-46 league loss to Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Ganders record now stands at 14-8.

The Patriots (8-15) will now prepare for their battle against Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Rangers come into the 5A Region III District 17 battle with a 4-15 record. In their last battle, Sterling was nudged by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 58-36, in a league battle.
