Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hillcrest Screamin Eagles (Strawberry, AR) and the host Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons (Paragould, AR), saw Hillcrest's basketball squad hold off Crowley's Ridge Academy by a count of 48-45.

With the victory, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 5-20 on the campaign. The Screamin Eagles host Armorel (Armorel, AR) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region 3 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 3-12.

Next up, the Falcons play the Ridgefield Christian Warriors (Jonesboro, AR) in a 1A Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Crowley's Ridge Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record.
