Danville Hawks (Danville, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Phil Campbell Bobcats (Phil Campbell, AL), 69-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Danville upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Hawks host Colbert County (Leighton, AL) to clash with the Indians in a 3A Area 15 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Colbert County won 77-44 in their recent league bout against Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Haleyville Lions (Haleyville, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Phil Campbell will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record.
