The Sequoyah Chiefs basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals to 34 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chiefs now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a 3A District 5 game on Tuesday, January 9. Sequoyah will face a Mountaineers team coming off a 80-70 non-league loss to William Blount (Maryville, TN). The Mountaineers record now stands at 9-10.

With the defeat, Eagleton College & Career Academy moves to 2-4 on the year. The Royals travel to Clayton-Bradley Academy (Maryville, TN) to face the Blazers in a non-league game on Monday, January 15. The Blazers enter the game with a record of 6-8.
