The East Bladen Eagles (Elizabethtown, NC) basketball felled the host Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC), 62-48 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Titans go into the 1A/2A Waccamaw test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Heide Trask thwarted Whiteville (Whiteville, NC), 58-44, in a league test.
The Patriots now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Pender will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 61-47 non-league loss to Lejeune (Camp Lejeune, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 3-5.
