North Carolina High School Basketball - Elkin ripped by East Wilkes

The East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Elkin Buckin' Elks to 44 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Stokes for a 1A Northwest contest on Tuesday, January 9. East Wilkes will meet a Sauras team coming off a 79-42 league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 12-0.
The Buckin' Elks (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams enter the 1A Northwest contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Starmount was routed by North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 55-27, in a league contest.
