The Industrial Cobras basketball team (Vanderbilt, TX), was overwhelmed 54-33 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Edna Cowboys (Edna, TX)

The Cowboys now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rice Consolidated for a 3A Region IV District 25 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Edna will battle a Raiders team coming off a 42-37 league win over Palacios (Palacios, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 17-6.

The Cobras (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX). The Brahmas come into the 3A Region IV District 25 battle with a 9-13 record. In their last battle, Hallettsville trounced Columbus (Columbus, TX), 63-56, in a league battle.
