Waterford Wolverines (Waterford, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Elkhorn Elks (Elkhorn, WI), 50-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Waterford upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Union Grove (Union Grove, WI) to clash with the Broncos in a Southern Lakes bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Union Grove lost 51-45 in their recent league bout against Badger (Lake Geneva, WI)

Next up, the Elks clash with the Westosha Central Falcons (Salem, WI) in a Southern Lakes bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Elkhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 53-47 league win over Burlington (Burlington, WI).
