Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL), 55-26 in a league test.

The Tigers (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Knoxville (Knoxville, IL). The Blue Bullets go into the non-league test with a 3-12 record. In their last test, Knoxville was trounced by Stark County (Toulon, IL), 63-50, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Rockford Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, January 6. Erie-Prophetstown will encounter a Royal Lions squad coming off a 85-65 league win over Oregon (Oregon, IL). The Royal Lions record now stands at 7-2.
