Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA), 46-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Etowah upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Eagles host Sequoyah (Canton, GA) to clash with the Chiefs in a AAAAAA Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Sequoyah won 89-63 in their recent league bout against Rome (Rome, GA)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. River Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 75-57 league win over Allatoona (Acworth, GA).
