Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Whitewater Wildcats (Fayetteville, GA), 61-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fayette County upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Riverdale (Riverdale, GA) to play the Raiders in a AAAA Region 4 bout on Saturday, January 6. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 7-6. Riverdale won 55-53 in their recent league bout against North Clayton (College Park, GA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the LaGrange Grangers (LaGrange, GA) in a AAAA Region 4 bout, on Saturday, January 6. Whitewater will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Grangers come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 59-37 league win over North Clayton (College Park, GA).
