With the win, Shelbyville upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Dragons travel to Timpson (Timpson, TX) to play the Bears in a 2A Region III District 23 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Timpson won 68-34 in their recent league bout against Gary (Gary, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Tenaha Tigers (Tenaha, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Garrison will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 54-45 league loss to Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX).
