Golden Valley Grizzlies (Santa Clarita, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA), 63-60 in a league bout.

With the victory, Golden Valley upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host West Ranch (Valencia, CA) to play the Wildcats in a Foothill bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 9-9. West Ranch won 74-60 in their recent non-league bout against Etiwanda (Etiwanda, CA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Rancho Verde Mustangs (Moreno Valley, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Valencia will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 16-2 record after their 59-35 league win over JW North (Riverside, CA).
