South Greene Rebels (Greeneville, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN), 73-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Greene upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to West Greene (Mosheim, TN) to play the Buffaloes in a 2A District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a record of 1-10. West Greene lost 75-71 in their recent non-league bout against North Greene (Greeneville, TN)

Next up, the Grizzlies play the Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN) in a 3A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Grainger will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
