Grand Forks Central Knights (Grand Forks, ND) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Fargo Packers (West Fargo, ND), 83-82 in a league bout.

With the win, Grand Forks Central upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Knights host Horace (Horace, ND) to play the in a AA East bout on Thursday, January 11. The go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Horace won 66-52 in their recent league bout against Shanley (Fargo, ND)

Next up, the Packers play the Red River Roughriders (Grand Forks, ND) in a AA East bout, on Tuesday, January 9. West Fargo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 80-47 non-league win over Mobridge-Pollock (Mobridge, SD).
