Utah High School Basketball - Granger knocked off by Kearns

The Kearns Cougars basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Granger Lancers to 51 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Taylorsville for a 5A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Kearns will battle a Warriors team coming off a 60-53 league win over Cyprus (Magna, UT). The Warriors record now stands at 4-6.

The Lancers (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT). The Soaring Eagle enter the 5A Region 4 contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Juan Diego Catholic was defeated by West Jordan (West Jordan, UT), 62-61, in a league contest.
