The Indian River Braves basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Grassfield Grizzlies to 44 in the Braves league victory on Friday.

The Braves now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Indian River will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 101-26 league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-5.

The Grizzlies (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Norview (Norfolk, VA). The Pilots come into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Norview was defeated by Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA), 50-38, in a non-league contest.
