North Carolina High School Basketball - Mount Pleasant trounces Gray Stone Day

The Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) basketball crushed the host Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), 66-24 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (5-8) will now prepare for their test against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test with a 11-2 record. In their last test, South Stanly walloped Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 58-44, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to North Stanly for a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley test on Tuesday, January 9. Gray Stone Day will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 87-68 league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Comets record now stands at 11-3.
