Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), saw Mt. Lebanon's basketball squad overcome Hempfield Area by a tally of 67-50.

With the victory, Mt. Lebanon improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA) to confront the Panthers in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Upper St. Clair won 61-45 in their recent league challenge against Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Hempfield Area will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
