The Hernando Tigers basketball team (Hernando, MS), was overwhelmed 86-56 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS)
The Chargers now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host DeSoto Central for a 7A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Oxford will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 75-64 non-league loss to Florence (Florence, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-10.
The Tigers (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Holly Springs was overwhelmed by Tupelo (Tupelo, MS), 64-35, in a non-league battle.
