Rhinebeck Hawks (Rhinebeck, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Highland Huskies (Highland, NY), 52-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rhinebeck upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Hawks host Onteora (Boiceville, NY) to play the Eagles in a Section 9 Mid Hudson III bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Onteora lost 50-42 in their recent league bout against Ellenville (Ellenville, NY)

In their next game, the Huskies face the Mount Academy Eagles (Esopus, NY) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 9. Highland will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 6-0 record after their 70-58 league win over Pine Plains (Pine Plains, NY).
