Jourdanton Indians/Squaws (Jourdanton, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hondo Owls (Hondo, TX), 52-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jourdanton upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Indians/Squaws travel to Natalia (Natalia, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Natalia won 55-38 in their recent non-league bout against Poteet (Poteet, TX)

Next up, the Owls play the Blanco Panthers (Blanco, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Hondo will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 45-31 non-league loss to Lago Vista (Lago Vista, TX).
