Stillwater Ponies (Stillwater, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Irondale Knights (New Brighton, MN), 68-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Stillwater upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Ponies host Roseville (Roseville, MN) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Roseville won 62-53 in their recent non-league bout against Mayo (Rochester, MN)

Next up, the Knights play the Two Rivers Warriors (Mendota Heights, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Irondale will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 75-72 league win over South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN).
