Georgia High School Basketball - Ware County winner over Jenkins

January 5, 2024: Waycross, GA 31503

The Ware County Gators (Waycross, GA) basketball felled the visiting Jenkins Warriors (Savannah, GA), 58-50 in Friday's league test.

The Gators (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Coffee (Douglas, GA). The Trojans go into the AAAAA Region 1 test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Coffee was beaten by Clinch County (Homerville, GA), 57-56, in a non-league test.

The Warriors now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Greenbrier for a AAAAA Region 1 test on Saturday, January 6. Jenkins will encounter a Wolfpack squad coming off a 58-56 non-league win over Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 7-7.
