The Kirk Academy Raiders basketball team (Grenada, MS), was overwhelmed 71-38 in Friday's league battle with the host North Delta Green Wave (Batesville, MS)

The Green Wave now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Indianola Academy for a MAIS 4A District 1 battle on Tuesday, January 9. North Delta will confront a Colonels team coming off a 47-44 league win over Kirk Academy (Grenada, MS). The Colonels record now stands at 1-2.

The Raiders (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lee Academy (Clarksdale, MS). The Colts come into the MAIS 4A District 1 battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Lee Academy trounced Delta Streets Academy (Greenwood, MS), 76-70, in a non-league battle.
