LaFayette Bulldogs (LaFayette, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lanett Panthers (Lanett, AL), 62-48 in a league bout.

With the win, LaFayette upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Reeltown (Notasulga, AL) to clash with the Rebels in a 2A Area 6 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Reeltown won 58-38 in their recent league bout against Horseshoe Bend (New Site, AL)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Valley Rams (Valley, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Lanett will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 81-55 non-league win over Troup County (LaGrange, GA).
