In Friday's league outing, the Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL), by a count of 47-43.

The Bears (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Mundelein (Mundelein, IL). The Mustangs go into the North Suburban outing with a 4-10 record.

The Scouts now hold a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Warren Township for a North Suburban outing on Wednesday, January 10. Lake Forest will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 85-55 non-league loss to Kenwood (Chicago, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 16-2.
