South Carolina High School Basketball - Ridge View tops Lugoff-Elgin

January 5, 2024: Lugoff, SC 29078

Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC), 66-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ridge View upgrades its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Blazers host Irmo (Columbia, SC) to play the Yellowjackets in a AAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a record of 3-12. Irmo lost 47-45 in their recent league bout against Richland Northeast (Columbia, SC)

Next up, the Demons play the Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Lugoff-Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Redhawks come into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 72-59 league win over A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC).
