The Mountain Pine Red Devils basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Magnet Cove Panthers to 34 in the Red Devils league victory on Friday.

The Red Devils now sport a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jacksonville Lighthouse for a 2A Region 5 contest on Monday, January 8. Mountain Pine will battle a Wolves team coming off a 64-56 league loss to Conway Christian (Conway, AR). The Wolves record now stands at 6-11.

The Panthers (1-14) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph (Conway, AR). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region 5 contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph was defeated by Poyen (Poyen, AR), 68-58, in a league contest.
