The Marion Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Mesick Bulldogs to 29 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evart for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Marion will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 64-47 league loss to Pine River Area (Leroy, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-4.
The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, St. Mary triumphed over Leland (Leland, MI), 53-41, in a non-league contest.
