Mars Hill Bible Panthers (Florence, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shoals Christian Flame (Florence, AL), 41-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mars Hill Bible upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Randolph School (Huntsville, AL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 8-8.

Next up, the Flame clash with the Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL) in a 1A Area 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Shoals Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 70-45 league loss to Cherokee (Cherokee, AL).
