The Oakville Acorns basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Mary M. Knight Owls to 29 in the Acorns league triumph on Friday.
The Acorns now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quilcene for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Oakville will meet a Rangers team coming off a 55-42 league loss to Evergreen Lutheran (Tacoma, WA). The Rangers record now stands at 3-7.
The Owls (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Quinault (Amanda Park, WA). The Elks enter the 1B Coastal contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Lake Quinault was routed by Clallam Bay (Clallam Bay, WA), 73-24, in a non-league contest.
