Pentwater Falcons (Pentwater, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mason County Eastern Cardinals (Custer, MI), 52-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Pentwater upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Falcons host Mesick (Mesick, MI) to play the Bulldogs in a West Michigan D bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Mesick lost 49-35 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Hesperia Panthers (Hesperia, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Mason County Eastern will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 54-50 league win over Shelby (Shelby, MI).
