Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host McKinley Trojans (Sebring, OH), 61-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Springfield upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Tigers host Mineral Ridge (Mineral Ridge, OH) to play the Rams in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Mineral Ridge lost 61-41 in their recent league bout against Lowellville (Lowellville, OH)

Next up, the Trojans play the Western Reserve Blue Devils (Berlin Center, OH) in a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet bout, on Tuesday, January 9. McKinley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 38-27 league win over McDonald (McDonald, OH).
