Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Struthers Wildcats (Struthers, OH) and the host McKinley Red Dragons (Niles, OH), saw Struthers's basketball squad topple McKinley by a margin of 56-45.

The Wildcats (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Lakeview (Cortland, OH). The Bulldogs go into the Northeast 8 test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Lakeview notched a victory over Girard (Girard, OH), 51-36, in a league test.

The Red Dragons now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to South Range for a Northeast 8 test on Tuesday, January 9. McKinley will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 61-49 league loss to Poland Seminary (Poland, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 6-4.
