The Montcalm Generals basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Richwood Lumberjacks to 44 in the Generals non-league victory on Friday.

The Generals now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host River View for a Coalfield A contest on Tuesday, January 9. Montcalm will battle a Raiders team coming off a 58-51 non-league win over Sherman (Seth, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 5-1.

The Lumberjacks (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Gilmer County (Glenville, WV). The Titans come into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Gilmer County was nudged by Doddridge County (West Union, WV), 69-39, in a league contest.
