The Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) basketball nipped the visiting New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN), 75-69 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bluejays (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Blue Earth (Blue Earth, MN). The Buccaneers go into the AA Section 2 test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Blue Earth was tipped by Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial (Lake Crystal, MN), 90-59, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Fairmont for a non-league test on Monday, January 8. New Ulm will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 65-62 non-league loss to St. Peter (St. Peter, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-7.
