The North Sand Mountain Bison (Higdon, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Section Lions (Section, AL), 58-44 in Friday's league test.
The Bison (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Ider (Ider, AL). The Hornets go into the 2A Area 15 test with a 4-14 record. In their last test, Ider went down by Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL), 48-39, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Pisgah for a 2A Area 15 test on Tuesday, January 9. Section will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 59-48 non-league loss to Skyline (Scottsboro, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.
