Nevada High School Basketball - Pershing County nips North Tahoe

January 5, 2024: Lovelock, NV 89419

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the visiting North Tahoe Lakers (Tahoe City, CA), saw Pershing County's basketball squad hold off North Tahoe by a tally of 73-67.

With the victory, Pershing County improves its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV) to play the Bighorns in a 2A Northern challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Bighorns come into the challenge with a record of 5-8.

Next up, the Lakers play the Oasis Academy Bighorns (Fallon, NV) in a 2A Northern test, on Saturday, January 6. North Tahoe will attempt to advance on its 5-8 season record. The Bighorns go into the test with a 5-8 record after their 61-53 league loss to Yerington (Yerington, NV).
