Connecticut High School Basketball - Ridgefield edges Staples

The Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT) basketball nipped the host Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), 48-46 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT). The Hilltoppers go into the Fairfield County test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Bridgeport Central was tipped by Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT), 59-55, in a league test.

The Wreckers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to New Canaan for a Fairfield County test on Tuesday, January 9. Staples will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 64-51 league loss to Danbury (Danbury, CT). The Rams record now stands at 3-2.
