St. Labre Indian Catholic Braves (Ashland, MT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Shepherd Mustangs (Shepherd, MT), 71-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Labre Indian Catholic upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Braves host Colstrip (Colstrip, MT) to clash with the Colts in a B District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Colstrip won 71-28 in their recent non-league bout against Roundup (Roundup, MT)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Sweet Grass County Sheepherders (Big Timber, MT) in a B District 4 bout, on Saturday, January 6. Shepherd will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Sheepherders go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 63-34 non-league loss to Park City (Park City, MT).
