Georgia High School Basketball - Troup County can't hold off Starr's Mill

The Starr's Mill Panthers basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Troup County Tigers to 67 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity Christian for a AAAA Region 4 contest on Saturday, January 6. Starr's Mill will battle a Lions team coming off a 72-67 non-league win over Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA). The Lions record now stands at 4-7.

The Tigers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Clayton (College Park, GA). The Eagles enter the AAAA Region 4 contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, North Clayton was nudged by Riverdale (Riverdale, GA), 55-53, in a league contest.
