Fans at Friday's league challenge between the York Institute Dragons (Jamestown, TN) and the visiting Watertown Purple Tigers (Watertown, TN), saw York Institute's basketball squad knock off Watertown by a tally of 66-48.
With the victory, York Institute improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Cookeville (Cookeville, TN) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Cookeville won 70-31 in their recent league challenge against Smyrna (Smyrna, TN)
Next up, the Purple Tigers play the Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Watertown will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 60-22 league win over Monterey (Monterey, TN).
