The Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Woodstock Blue Streaks (Woodstock, IL), 59-58 in Friday's league test.

The Thunder (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Harvard (Harvard, IL). The Hornets go into the Kishwaukee River test with a 1-10 record. In their last test, Harvard was tipped by North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL), 48-42, in a non-league test.

The Blue Streaks now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Sycamore for a non-league test on Saturday, January 6. Woodstock will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 68-43 league loss to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 8-9.
