Nevada High School Basketball - Cimarron-Memorial trounced by Shadow Ridge

The Shadow Ridge Mustangs routed the visiting Cimarron-Memorial Spartans basketball team by a final score of 56-26 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the Western Warriors (Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 10. Shadow Ridge will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record.
With the defeat, Cimarron-Memorial moves to 2-7 on the year. The Spartans host Del Sol (Las Vegas, NV) to face the Dragons in a game on Wednesday, January 10. The Dragons enter the game with a record of 0-1. Del Sol lost 42-31 in their recent league game against Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas, NV)
First Quarter
The Cimarron Boys held the lead early before Shadow Ridge went on a 30 to 2 run to close out the half. The Cimarron Boys self destructed with turnovers & failed to attack the galss & box out.
Second Quarter
Shadow put on a press that lead to many turnovers in the 2nd quarter & the Spartans came up with many consecutive possessions with Turnovers, which lead to very few Field Goal Attempts in the Quarter.
Third Quarter
Once again the Spartans continued to be dominated on the glass & defensively they failed to communicate, which lead to many open looks for Shadow, which they knocked down. Shadow's Point Guard #41 had all 8 of his points in the quarter, which put the game out of reach.
