The Wilkinson County Wildcats basketball team (Woodville, MS), dropped 45-33 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Amite County Trojans (Liberty, MS)

The Trojans now possess a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loyd Star for a 2A Region 7 battle on Monday, January 8. Amite County will battle a Hornets team coming off a 61-37 non-league loss to Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 7-6.

The Wildcats (1-14) will now prepare for their battle against West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS). The Bears come into the 2A Region 7 battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, West Lincoln dropped by Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS), 58-33, in a league battle.
