In Friday's league match, the host Anniston Bulldogs basketball team scored a tight 54-51 triumph over the Talladega Tigers.

In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Handley Tigers (Roanoke, AL) in a 4A Area 8 match, on Tuesday, January 9. Anniston will attempt to better on its 17-2 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 11-3 record after their 44-34 non-league win over Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL).
