The Nelson County Governors basketball team (Lovingston, VA), was routed 53-2 in Friday's league battle with the host Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA)

The Raiders now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chatham for a Dogwood battle on Tuesday, January 9.

The Governors (0-8) will now prepare for their battle against Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA). The Fighting Blues come into the non-league battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Parry McCluer trounced Highland (Monterey, VA), 60-21, in a league battle.
