North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Guilford edges Atkins

January 5, 2024: Greensboro, NC 27406

The Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC), 43-39 in Friday's league test.

The Storm (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the 3A Mid-State test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Ben L. Smith got by NC GBB Academy National (Durham, NC), 52-48, in a non-league test.

The Camels now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Eastern Guilford for a 3A Mid-State test on Tuesday, January 9. Atkins will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 58-32 league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.
