Augusta Red Devils (Augusta, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Clarendon Lions (Clarendon, AR), 66-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Augusta upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Red Devils travel to Marvell (Marvell, AR) to clash with the Mustangs in a 1A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) in a 1A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Clarendon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
